Unshackled is a high-energy, pop culture-infused series that tackles the continent’s most pressing economic challenge by engaging an often-overlooked audience: men. Hosted by renowned gender economist and REAF Founder; Dr. Tale Alimi, the show disrupts old narratives, builds new alliances, and turns conversations into real-world action.
The first season will be a 13-episode talk show to be filmed in Lagos, Nigeria, that brings together diverse voices from across the continent. It’s not just another panel discussion. It’s an electrifying blend of viral social debates, data-driven insights, and raw, unfiltered conversations. We use the language of pop culture, Afrobeats, and Nollywood to make economics accessible and exciting for Africans aged 18-45.
